Emirates Launches In-Flight Iftar Meal Boxes For Ramadan

Are you travelling during the holy month of Ramadan? If yes, then Emirates Airlines has got you covered for Iftar. Known as one of the best airlines in the world and one of the two flag carriers in the UAE, Emirates Airline has launched Iftar meal boxes for fasting passengers onboard and at boarding gates, an array of religious content and Ramadan series on ice, and more. To ensure that fasting passengers travel with ease and comfort during the holy month of Ramadan, Emirates Airlines has launched thoughtful, nutritionally-balanced iftar meal boxes. Fasting passengers across all cabin classes to select Emirates destinations will receive this box. The meals will be served in the box designed by Emirates to represent the rich Emirati heritage of the Al Sadu weavers.

The meal box will include small portions and starters like hummus and spinach bil zeit, Greek salad and cauliflower bil tahini, falafel sandwiches, pasta salad and fried aubergine with mint, zaatar chicken salad and cauliflower bil tahini, chicken musakhan sandwiches with Arabic bread, as well as staples like traditional dates and refreshing laban. For those boarding the flight during the fast, Emirates will also be providing a smaller box at boarding gates at Iftar time, including all the essentials to break the fast.

The menu will change weekly to ensure a best-in-class dining experience during the Holy Month. The boxes will be available on flights to and from the Gulf region, as well as flights catering to Umrah groups travelling to Jeddah and Medina during Ramadan. And to ensure that Muslim passengers break their fast on time, passengers will be informed of the iftar time by the captain.

And fasting customers who will be on the ground boarding during iftar times, boxes containing water, juice, a banana, and dates will be available to fasting customers at gates for several destinations. At the Emirates lounges in DXB, traditional Arabic sweets, dates and coffee will be offered during Ramadan.

Besides food throughout March and April, Emirates ice inflight entertainment will feature special religious content like Hadeeth Al Emam Al Tayeb, Nawafez Aala Al Hayat, Qu’ran Mubeen and more. The Holy Qur’an is also available on ice. Emirates wants to ensure that you have the best in-flight hence special training is given to cabin crews as well.
