Eligibility Criteria for Food Commodity Card

The primary question that arises is, “Who qualifies for this service?” The issuance of these food commodity cards is exclusively available to UAE nationals residing in the emirate of Abu Dhabi. Notably, food cards are distributed to beneficiary families throughout the month without specifying a particular entitlement date.

Eligibility Criteria Include:

1- Children of Mothers Married to Non-Citizens: Children born to mothers married to non-citizens can be included on the card, provided the required documents are submitted.

2- Children of Divorced Women: Children under the guardianship of their mothers, in cases of divorce, can also be added to the cards with the submission of necessary documents.

3- Avoid Misuse and Violations: Cards can be suspended or canceled if they are misused or used in violation of the established guidelines.

4- Unmarried Customers Welcome: Unmarried individuals with a separate family book can also obtain food commodity cards for purchasing subsidized and discounted food items.

5- Delivery Convenience: Those who prefer card delivery can avail of this service with a nominal delivery fee of AED 36.75.

This initiative aims to provide essential support to families in need and facilitate access to affordable food products for UAE citizens. By utilizing the Emirates ID for discounted food purchases, citizens can stretch their budgets further while enjoying quality food products.
