Riding the Tides of Innovation and Adventure in the Heart of Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi is gearing up for a monumental moment in water sports as it prepares to unveil the world’s largest artificial wave facility in early 2024. Surf Abu Dhabi, located on Hudayriyat Island, promises to be a game-changer for surf enthusiasts worldwide.

A Gnarly Experience Designed for All

Partnering with the renowned Kelly Slater Wave Co., Surf Abu Dhabi is not just for seasoned surfers but aims to cater to newcomers as well. With the potential to host major tour competitions, this facility boasts the world’s longest artificial wave ride, the biggest barrel, and the largest man-made wave pool.

Beyond the Waves – Velodrome

Looking beyond the surf, Abu Dhabi is set to roll out Velodrome Abu Dhabi in 2025. This indoor cycling track, the first of its kind in the region, is poised to host international championships and various track-based tournaments. Offering a rooftop track with a 600-meter cycling incline, the velodrome provides a breathtaking 360-degree view of Hudayriyat and the skyline.

As part of the expansive Modon masterplan, Abu Dhabi introduces a 2.25 million square meter urban park, the largest of its kind in the emirate. This green oasis offers an elevated cycling track, mangrove walk, eco-farming space, and various recreational facilities, providing a perfect blend of nature and leisure.

Visionary Development – Masterplan Highlights

Jassem Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Department of Finance, and Chairman of Modon Properties, emphasizes that the master plan aligns with the directives of the city’s leadership. The plan includes luxurious residential properties, hill communities with elevated desert island views, and an additional 53.5 kilometers of meticulously crafted coastline, featuring 16 kilometers dedicated to new beaches.
