Dubai’s Global Village wins two prestigious awards

Global Village, the UAE and wider region’s leading multicultural family destination for culture, shopping, and entertainment, has won two highly coveted awards at this year’s cycle of the Dubai Economic and Tourism’s Dubai Quality Awards and Dubai Service Excellence Scheme (DESES) Awards. The awards recognise organisations who have demonstrated exceptional standards of quality and excellence in customer service.

The Dubai Quality Award, based on the Excellence Model used by the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM), is a rigorous assessment programme, with companies judged and scored on a yearly basis. The award recognises organisations that have implemented an integrated approach to quality management, focusing on customer satisfaction, continuous improvement and innovation.

The DSES, initiated by the Department of Economic Development recognises organisations that have consistently delivered outstanding customer service and have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in this area.

Mohamed Sharaf, Chief Operating Officer, Dubai Holding Entertainment, expressed his delight at the news, saying: “We are truly honoured to have once again been awarded the Best Service Performance Brand Award and are particularly thrilled that we have this year received the prestigious Dubai Quality Gold Award. These awards are a testament to our commitment to excellence in all areas of our operations. We are extremely proud of our teams, whose hard work and dedication have earned them this coveted award. With 90% of guests telling us they intend to return to Global Village, finding new ways to take the customer experience and service to the next level is always a priority.”

Global Village is amongst the most visited attractions in the world, with millions of guests visiting from around the world each season.
