Boney Kapoor and Janhvi Kapoor pay tribute to Sridevi on her death anniversary

On this day, half a decade has elapsed since the world bid adieu to the beloved and talented Bollywood Actress, Sridevi. The icon was attending the nuptials of her nephew Mohit Marwah in Dubai, and on the day following, she was no more. It was declared that she had drowned in the bathtub of her hotel room, yet many remained unconvinced of the official account. To this day, the specifics of Sridevi’s passing remain shrouded in mystery, and her absence has left a chasm in the hearts of her kin and admirers. Her legacy, however, endures, and her impeccable contributions to Indian cinema will always be remembered.

On Thursday a day prior to Sridevi’s death anniversary, her husband, Boney Kapoor, took to social media to share the last photo of the departed beauty. The ‘last picture’ of Sridevi captured her in a serene moment, standing alongside her loving husband Boney, their daughter Khushi, and other dear ones. The producer’s caption on the photograph read simply, “Last picture,” evoking a poignant sense of finality.

Later that day, Boney Kapoor also shared a cherished memory of his ‘first picture’ with Sridevi, a snapshot taken in 1984 that immortalized their enduring bond.

A tender moment between Sridevi and Boney Kapoor was captured in another picture, as the adoring couple exchanged a kiss and beamed with joy for the camera.

Meanwhile, while Boney Kapoor’s Instagram feed is filled with lovely memories he has shared with his wife, their daughter Janhvi Kapoor paid a touching tribute to her late mother on the eve of her death anniversary. Along with a beautiful photograph of the two, Janhvi wrote a heartfelt message expressing her longing for her mother’s presence and her desire to make her proud with everything she does.

Sridevi was a prolific actress with a remarkable career spanning over three decades, during which she starred in over 300 films. The icon was celebrated for her impressive performances in a range of popular movies such as Sadma, Chaalbaaz, Khuda Gawah, Nagina, Chandni, and Judaai, to name a few. Beginning her acting journey with Tamil cinema, Sridevi’s exceptional talent and captivating screen presence quickly made her a sought-after actress in Bollywood.
