The vehicle has been developed by Bayanat, a unit of Abu Dhabi’s artificial intelligence company G42 was put on display at an event in Yas Bay on Monday, 13 March 2023. The hoverbike is made of high-strength carbon fibre, similar to the one used in aviation and the space industry. Weighing a whopping 300 kg, the bike can fly at 80 kph for up to 40 minutes before it needs to refuel.

“The hovering bike has been successfully trialled in Japan through our partner. Our plan is to start a manufacturing unit in the UAE and customise it into our specific needs in the UAE”, said Hasan Al Hosani, chief executive of Bayanat.

He claimed that the bike could support civil defense efforts or the construction industry in addition to being used in remote locations by the oil and gas industry to deliver emergency aid.
