Think UAE winters and the first thing that will come to your mind is pop-ups. We all love the chilly wind on our face and a warm cuppa to sip on- don’t we? After all, what else are winters for? And, if these come along with an Instagrammable setup- it’s a double bullseye! The UAE has a host of winter pops happening this time of the year, but what caught our eye is this fancy, mirror-themed dining destination is that there’s nothing common! Welcome to ‘The Uncommon’!
Nestled on the Mahafiz-Al Fayah road in Sharjah, pictures of this cozy pop-up are already going viral on social media. Well, it is not surprising to hear that the café has gained a lot of attention due to its unique design. There are several tables and chairs set up in front of the space, which reflect the desert environment in which it is set up. It is well worth mentioning that the exterior of the space is covered with mirrors, reflecting the desert landscape that surrounds it.
The inspiration behind the space came from The Invisible House, a house clad in mirrors that was designed to reflect the surroundings that it was built in California. As for the menu, you’ll find a variety of specialty coffees -ranging from lattes to V60s.
Apart from Blue Sky- a coffee-based beverage that is infused with blue liquor, and the red velvet latte for those who love sweets, there are also baked goods, other small bites, as well as some unusual drinks on the menu.
The Uncommon is open daily from 4 pm to 1 am.
