Sharjah’s Road and Transport Authority (SRTA) is ushering in a more eco-friendly era by rolling out 10 new electric buses. The move is part of the city’s push towards greener, sustainable transportation options.

Commitment to Sustainability

Engineer Yousef Khamis Al Othmani, the SRTA Chairman, expressed the authority’s commitment to sustainable development. The initiative aims to encourage people to use public transportation, contributing to a cleaner environment and reduced energy consumption. With the inclusion of air-conditioning and a battery cooling system, these buses are well-equipped to tackle the UAE’s diverse weather conditions.
