Hold on to your seats, Bollywood fans, because Ajay Devgn and Rohit Shetty are back again with another blockbuster film! ‘Singham Again’, the 11th collaboration between the superstar actor and the celebrated director, is set to hit the big screen on Diwali 2024.
While filming will begin in July 2023, we already have some juicy details about the film. ‘Singham Again’ is part of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe, which kicked off with the first ‘Singham film’ in 2011. Since then, Ajay Devgn has starred in the sequel, ‘Singham Returns’, and will now return as Bajirao Singham in ‘Singham Again’. But that’s not all! The film also stars the stunning Deepika Padukone, who previously worked with Shetty on ‘Chennai Express’ and made a cameo in ‘Cirkus’.
At the song launch of Cirkus in December 2022, Rohit Shetty had announced that Deepika Padukone is joining the cop universe. Rohit revealed, “Everyone knows that my next film is Singham Again, belonging to the cop universe. Every time, I am asked ‘Lady Singham kab aayegi?’. Toh Singham Again mein Lady Singham aayegi (when will Lady Singham come? In Singham Again, she will come”
Apart from Devgn, Ranveer Singh’s ‘Simmba’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sooryavanshi’ are also set to make appearances in the movie. With all these superstars coming together, fans are eagerly anticipating what the filmmakers have in store for them. Will there be a common climax film that brings all the characters together? While we don’t have all the details yet, it’s clear that Singham Again is set to be an epic addition to the cop universe.
For those who may have missed the first two Singham films, here’s a quick recap. Ajay Devgn’s character Bajirao Singham is a no-nonsense cop who takes on corrupt politicians, gangsters, and fraudulent spiritual leaders. In the first film, he goes head-to-head with a gangster-turned-politician played by Prakash Raj, while in the sequel, he takes on a fraudulent spiritual guru and a corrupt minister.
