The Gazer MultiSafe S5 is a small module that turns your car into a smart car you control from your phone. In the UAE summer, no matter how dark your tints are, a parked car can reach around 50 degrees inside. We had the system installed in our Nissan Patrol and lived with it for a couple of weeks to see whether it really takes the sting out of the heat, and what else it can do.
Key takeaways
- Start the engine and air conditioning from your phone to cool the car before you get in.
- Installed behind the dashboard in about 2 to 3 hours without cutting a single wire.
- Live GPS location plus alerts for low voltage, temperature and movement while locked.
- Anti-theft logic cuts the engine if the remotely started car is unlocked or put in gear.
- Needs a SIM card from a UAE provider; installation centre in Abu Dhabi near Yas Marina Circuit.
What is the Gazer MultiSafe S5?
It is a compact module installed out of sight behind the dashboard and steering column. It connects to the Gazer app on your phone, letting you start the car, switch on the air conditioning, set the temperature and use a range of security features from anywhere. Nothing is visible inside the cabin: no cables and no extra screens.

Remote start and climate control
In our test, the app showed 36 degrees inside the Patrol after just a few minutes parked in the sun. One slide in the app, a tap on yes, and the engine started with the air conditioning running. Leave it longer and the cabin cools down to the temperature you set. When we got in, the car was already a comfortable place to be. Keeping the cabin cooler can also help your interior last longer in the heat.
Gazer MultiSafe S5 security features
- Exact GPS location of your car, accurate to the last metre, via a SIM network
- Critical alerts, including low voltage, temperature warnings and movement while the car is locked
- Remote locking and unlocking
- If the car was started from the app and someone unlocks it, the engine switches off automatically
- If someone puts the remotely started car in gear, the engine cuts out
- Constant status checks on temperature, battery health and whether the car is armed
Installation: no wires cut
What we like most is how clean the installation is. It takes about 2 to 3 hours, and not a single factory wire is cut; the modules simply connect to each other. It runs on the car’s own power, so you never have to recharge it. You do need a SIM card for the module, which is easy to buy from UAE providers such as e& or du.
Is the Gazer MultiSafe S5 worth it?
After a couple of weeks with it fitted, we found it added real safety, peace of mind and comfort on hot days. Gazer has been in the UAE for a long time, says its products have been tested over millions of kilometres here, and offers a warranty and guarantee. Its state-of-the-art installation centre is in Abu Dhabi, near Yas Marina Circuit. If you want more control over what your car is doing while you are away, it is a system we personally recommend. More details are on the Gazer website.
