Emaar announced the concept on September 7, saying the parking would combine climate control with ceilings, lighting, wayfinding, interior finishes and architectural details. The aim is to make the journey from the car to the mall more comfortable, particularly during Dubai’s intense summer heat.
What will Dubai Square’s air-conditioned parking look like?
Emaar says the proposed parking environment will be designed as an extension of the mall rather than simply a place to leave a car.
The concept brings together climate control, lighting, ceilings, interior finishes, wayfinding and architectural detailing. Dubai Creek Harbour is also getting a major transport boost
Dubai Square’s location could become even more accessible as work progresses on the Dubai Metro Blue Line.
According to Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, the 30-kilometre Blue Line will include 14 stations and an iconic station at Dubai Creek Harbour. The line is scheduled to open on September 9, 2029.
The project is expected to connect Dubai Creek Harbour with areas including Dubai Festival City, Ras Al Khor, International City, Dubai Silicon Oasis, Academic City, Mirdif and Al Warqa.
RTA estimates that the Blue Line will serve around 200,000 passengers a day by 2030, increasing to approximately 320,000 by 2040. The authority also estimates that the project will generate economic benefits of more than Dh56.5 billion by 2040.
That makes the future of Dubai Square particularly interesting. The development is being planned around both private-car convenience and expanding public transport connectivity.
When will Dubai Square open?
Dubai Square is still under development, so shoppers cannot use the new parking facilities yet.
When Emaar unveiled the project in December 2025, it said Dubai Square was expected to open in approximately three years. That points towards 2028, although a specific opening date has not been confirmed.
The air-conditioned parking also remains part of the project’s development. Emaar’s latest announcement outlines the concept but does not provide detailed technical specifications, parking capacity or a separate completion date.
