In ‘Mission Raniganj,’ Akshay Kumar steps into the heroic shoes of Jaswant Singh Gill, who led a coal mine rescue mission in the ‘Raniganj Coalfield.’ The film draws inspiration from a true incident that took place in November 1989 when a coal mine in Raniganj got flooded, trapping miners underground. Despite daunting challenges, a successful rescue mission unfolded in Bharat (India).
