In a recent announcement, H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, introduced a new initiative to ensure fairness for all residents and citizens under the law. The initiative, called the “enforcement and application of laws” indicator, aims to make sure that everyone in the UAE is treated equally when it comes to following the law.

Speaking at a Council of Ministers meeting, Sheikh Mohammed stressed the UAE’s commitment to fairness and transparency in its legal system. He emphasized that laws should apply equally to investors, citizens, residents, and specialized groups. This initiative shows the country’s dedication to being fair and transparent in its governance.

Access to Legal Decisions
As part of this effort, the UAE has launched a new platform where people can access all federal executive decisions dating back to the country’s establishment in 1971. This platform is available in both Arabic and English, making it easier for everyone to understand the laws that govern them. It’s a big step towards transparency and accessibility in the legal system.
Ambitious Legislative Plan
Looking ahead, the country has set an ambitious legislative plan for 2023, covering a wide range of sectors including finance, banking, education, health, and government. With over 73 items on the agenda, it’s the most comprehensive plan since the UAE was founded. This shows the country’s commitment to addressing the evolving needs of its society.
