You can now visit Azerbaijan visa-free, that too for 90 days. Yep, you read that right! Citizens of the UAE and Azerbaijan can travel between both countries visa-free. The agreement came into effect on July 8th, and here’s everything you must know.

Azerbaijan Is Only 3-Hours By Flight From Dubai
Known for UNESCO world heritage sites, flora, culture and lip-smacking cuisine, Azerbaijan is a Eurasian country offering the best of old and new. And now, with the agreement, UAE nationals can travel to the country hassle-free. The UAE Embassy in Baku announced this news on Twitter. This move will further enhance and advance the relationship between the two countries.
This country is a 3-hour flight from Dubai and is also one of the budget-friendly countries to visit. Known as ‘The Land Of Fire’, Azerbaijan is home to a crazy amount of Volcanoes. Savour their national dish Plov and click pictures at the iconic Heydar Aliyev Centre- Azerbaijan won’t disappoint.
And if you are a UAE resident, you can visit the country hassle-free too, since the nation has been offering a visa-on-arrival facility for all UAE residents since 2018. The on-arrival tourist visa is valid for one month from arrival.
And with the three-hour travel time, you can easily explore Azerbaijan’s capital Baku in just four days. Offering a mix of old and modern architecture, you can visit many places in Baku. Some must-visit attractions are- Azerbaijan Carpet Museum, Heydar Aliyev Centre, Baku City Karting Centre, Fire Temple & Baku Ferris Wheel.
