Netflix is gearing up to bring us the Indian adaptation of the beloved Archie comic book series with Zoya Akhtar’s The Archies.”But it’s not just about the comics; it’s also about launching the careers of some of Bollywood’s most highly anticipated star kids. Suhana Khan, the daughter of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan, Khushi Kapoor, the daughter of Boney Kapoor and the late actor Sridevi, and Agastya Nanda, the grandson of Amitabh Bachchan, are all set to make their debut in this film alongside other newcomers.
While the first look and teaser have already been unveiled, fans have been eagerly awaiting the release date. It appears that the wait is over, as the cast and creators have officially announced the release date.
Suhana Khan along with the archies team reveals the release date
On Tuesday, Suhana Khan took to her Instagram account to share a fun video with the star cast of The Archies. The entire group can be seen on the streets of Mumbai proudly displaying their posters on a billboard. The video, filled with smiles, indicates that there are only 100 days left until the movie hits the OTT giant platform. The Archies is set to release on December 7, 2023

In addition to Suhana, Khushi, and Agastya, the film will also introduce new faces such as Vedang Raina, Dot, Mihir Ahuja, and Yuvraj Menda. The characters are as follows: Agastya Nanda (portraying Archie Andrews), Suhana Khan (as Veronica Lodge), Khushi Kapoor (playing Betty Cooper), Dot (bringing Ethel Muggs to life), Mihir Ahuja (in the role of Jughead Jones), Vedang Raina (as Reggie Mantle), and Yuvraj Menda (portraying Dilton Doiley).
The Archies is directed by Zoya Akhtar, written and created by Zoya and Reema Kagti, and produced by Tiger Baby Productions. The film is set to premiere on Netflix on December 7, 2023, and it’s sure to be a delightful treat for fans of the iconic comic series.
