Sheikh Hamdan starts ‘Quran in Every Home’ campaign in Dubai

Fostering cultural pride through spiritual initiatives in Dubai

Dubai’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, has unveiled a meaningful initiative to bring the Quran into every household. The campaign, “Quran in Every Home,” is part of a broader effort to enhance spiritual awareness and nurture a stronger connection to Islamic values across the city.

As Ramadan approaches, this campaign encourages families to reflect on and recite Quranic verses together. Copies of the Quran will be distributed across Dubai’s mosques, especially those with large congregations, ensuring accessibility for worshippers. The initiative aims to instill a deeper understanding of Islam, fostering unity within families and communities.

Engaging Youth Through the Muezzin Al Freij Initiative

Another inspiring project announced by Sheikh Hamdan is the second season of the “Muezzin Al Freij” initiative. This program is designed to strengthen the connection of children aged 6 to 14 with mosques by encouraging them to participate in reciting the adhan (call to prayer) and joining Tarawih prayers during Ramadan.

This season sees a 50% increase in participating mosques, with an emphasis on promoting traditional Emirati attire and respectful conduct among young attendees. By engaging youth in these meaningful activities, the initiative fosters cultural pride, community collaboration, and spiritual development.

Promoting Family Values and National Identity

The campaign aligns with Dubai’s Social Agenda 33, which focuses on creating cohesive families rooted in national identity and values. Sheikh Hamdan’s initiatives encourage families to attend mosques together, nurturing a generation committed to community service and religious practices.

The programs also emphasize the role of mosques as hubs for education, character building, and community development, reinforcing their importance in daily life.

Registration Opens for Muezzin Al Freij

Parents can register their children for the “Muezzin Al Freij” initiative from January 13 to February 7. We will evaluate participants based on specific criteria, ensuring that we select only the most promising voices for the adhan. This process underscores the initiative’s commitment to fostering excellence in spiritual and cultural engagement.

A Step Towards a Spiritually-Enriched Community

Sheikh Hamdan’s efforts reflect a deep commitment to creating a spiritually enriched and culturally connected society. These initiatives aim to strengthen family ties, encourage community participation, and preserve traditions by involving children in mosque activities and making the Quran accessible.
