Ranbir Kapoor confirms being part of Kishore Kumar’s biopic

Ranbir Kapoor, the heartthrob of Bollywood, is all set to dazzle the audience with his upcoming movie Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. The actor is currently in Kolkata, promoting the Luv Ranjan directorial with great enthusiasm. At a recent event in the city of joy, Ranbir spilt some beans about his involvement in the much-awaited biopics of Kishore Kumar and Sourav Ganguly. As a seasoned performer who had earlier nailed the role of Sanjay Dutt in his biopic – ‘Sanju’, Ranbir was the go-to guy for the latest scoop on his next big projects.

With a glint in his eye, Ranbir Kapoor spilt the beans on his labour of love – the Kishore Kumar biopic. The Bollywood heartthrob revealed that for 11 long years, he has been passionately toiling away on the project, dedicated to immortalizing the legacy of the playback singer and actor, who was an absolute gem of Indian cinema. Kapoor shared that he has been collaborating on the project with the brilliant Anurag Basu, and he’s crossing his fingers that it will be his next cinematic offering and also hopes that it would be his next biopic.

The actor admitted that he’s still in the dark on any news about Sourav Ganguly’s biopic being made. In reply, Kapoor expressed his admiration for Ganguly, describing him as a living legend not only in India but also globally. He added that a biopic on Ganguly would be remarkable. However, he revealed that he hasn’t been approached for the project and suggested that the script is still in development with the producers of Luv films.

After a four-year break from the silver screen, Ranbir Kapoor is back with a bang. The charming actor has already graced our screens with Shamshera and Brahmastra, leaving fans craving more. Luckily, the wait is almost over as the highly anticipated romantic-comedy, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, directed by Luv Ranjan, will be released on March 8th, 2023.

Ranbir will share the screen with the talented Shraddha Kapoor in this upcoming film. But that’s not all for Kapoor. His next project is the much-talked-about movie, Animal, helmed by Sandeep Vanga Reddy, where he will star alongside the stunning Rashmika Mandanna. The film is currently in production and is slated to hit theatres on August 11th, 2023, leaving fans eagerly waiting to see the captivating duo on screen.
