With its spectacular success, ‘Pathaan’ has become the highest-grossing Hindi movie of all time, and the most expected thing has happened as it has surpassed the iconic ‘Baahubali 2’, which had long reigned supreme at the box office numbers. In addition, Shobhu Yarlagadda, the producer of the epic blockbuster, ‘Baahubali 2’, directed by SS Rajamouli, shared his reaction to Pathaan’s new record. He congratulated SRK, Siddharth Anand and the team behind Pathaan and expressed his happiness that it was King Khan who broke the record.

However, it’s worth noting that ‘Dangal’ still holds the record for being the highest-grossing Indian film with reported earnings of around Rs 2,000 crore. Other Indian films that have crossed the Rs 1,000 crore mark at the global box office include, ‘RRR’ and ‘K.G.F: Chapter 2′. Pathaan is an essential instalment in Yash Raj Films’ spy franchise, where characters from different movies will eventually cross paths. The movie follows the eponymous spy (SRK) as he comes out of hiding to prevent terrorist group Outfit X from launching a crippling attack on India.
Producer Aditya Chopra’s spy universe is expanding with the release of ‘Pathaan,’ which is the fourth film in the franchise. The spy franchise, which features popular actors such as Salman Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and now Shah Rukh Khan, has garnered a massive fan following over the years.
