John Abraham, our very own Bollywood hunk who’s been serving us blockbuster after blockbuster since 2003, recently opened up about a super cool gift he got from none other than Shah Rukh Khan. Yep, after the mega success of Pathaan, SRK decided to go all out and surprise John with something epic – and boy, did he deliver!
When Shah Rukh Khan Goes Full ‘Bhai’ Mode
So here’s the scoop. During a candid chat on Zakir Khan’s show Aapka Apna Zakir, John Abraham dished out the deets on how SRK celebrated the insane success of Pathaan. After the movie took the box office by storm, there was a success party that had everyone buzzing. But while the whole world was ready to party hard, John had something else on his mind – sleep! Yep, our action hero wanted to hit the sack instead of the dance floor.
John shared the hilarious moment with Zakir, saying, “My last film Pathaan was with him. I remember there was a success party after the film’s release, and Shah Rukh was like, ‘Come on John, let’s party! Apni picture chal rahi hai. Achha opening mila hai.’ Maine bola, ‘Nahi mujhe sona hai. (Our film is doing well, it’s got a good opening. I said no, I’ve to sleep.’” SRK, being the King of Cool that he is, couldn’t believe his ears and asked John what he wanted instead of the party. And what did our man John ask for? A motorcycle! Just casually, you know.
Of course, Shah Rukh Khan isn’t one to disappoint. The next thing you know, John was heading home with a brand-new bike gifted by SRK himself. Can you imagine? “(Usne bola), ‘Kya, sona hai?’ ‘Han, mujhe sona hai.’ Toh unhone bola, ‘Kya chahiye tumhe?’ Maine bola, ‘Ek motorcycle de do bas.’ Toh unhone mujhe motorcycle gift ki. Main khush ho ke gaya ghar. (‘What, you’ve to sleep?’ ‘Yes, I’ve to sleep.’ So he asked me, ‘What do you want?’ I said, ‘Gift me a motorcycle’. So he gifted me one. I went home happy),” John quipped. Now that’s what we call a friendship goal—and one heck of a party favor!
From starring in blockbusters like Dhoom, Desi Boyz, and most recently Vedaa, to now cruising on a bike gifted by Bollywood’s Baadshah, John Abraham sure knows how to live the dream. We’re all here for this bromance and can’t wait to see what other surprises these two legends have in store for us.
