Dubai residents looking for festive family plans this Eid Al Adha now have one more reason to visit Global Village. For the first time in 13 years, the popular attraction will celebrate Eid Al Adha during its operating season, giving visitors a rare chance to experience the festival atmosphere at one of the UAE’s biggest entertainment destinations.
The attraction usually shuts down before Eid because of the summer season. However, this year, the dates align with the final week of Global Village’s landmark Season 30, which officially ends on May 31.
From live entertainment and interactive shows to Eid shopping and cultural experiences, visitors can expect a packed festive schedule throughout the long weekend.
Eid Celebration at Global Village Is Special
The last time Eid Al Adha fell during Global Village’s operating season was over a decade ago. Since Season 18, the attraction has typically closed before the holiday due to shifting Islamic calendar dates and rising summer temperatures in the UAE.
This year’s timing makes it a rare moment for both residents and tourists.
For many Dubai families, Global Village has become a yearly tradition during the cooler months. The combination of street food, cultural pavilions, shopping stalls, carnival rides, and live performances makes it one of the city’s most visited seasonal attractions.
Now, visitors will finally get to experience Eid celebrations inside the park once again.
Visitors Can Expect Live Eid Entertainment
One of the biggest highlights this year is the special Al Mandoos Live Game Show taking place on the Main Stage.
Hosted by popular presenter Abdulla Esmaeel, the show will feature audience participation, interactive games, giveaways, and family-friendly entertainment. The performances are scheduled for May 27 and May 28 at 9 pm.
The festive atmosphere is expected to continue across the destination during the Eid break, with roaming performances, cultural displays, and themed shopping experiences adding to the celebrations.
Families visiting during the evenings can also enjoy the cooler weather while exploring the open-air attraction.
Eid Shopping Across More Than 90 Cultures
Shopping remains one of the biggest reasons residents visit Global Village every season, and Eid Al Adha will bring even more attention to its cultural pavilions.
The destination features pavilions representing more than 90 cultures, offering visitors everything from fashion and accessories to perfumes, sweets, home décor, and handcrafted gifts.
The UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait pavilions will attract shoppers searching for traditional Eid outfits such as abayas, jalabiyas, scarves, and accessories for family gatherings and celebrations.
Meanwhile, the India Pavilion continues to stand out for its colourful fabrics, embroidery, and textiles, popular among residents searching for custom Eid outfits.
Beauty and skincare lovers can also explore natural oils, soaps, and traditional products available at the Africa and Morocco pavilions, while Korean beauty trends remain a key attraction at the Korea Pavilion.
The festive shopping experience makes Global Village especially popular ahead of Eid holidays, when many families search for gifts and celebration essentials in one place.
Food, Gifts, and Family Experiences Continue to Draw Crowds
Beyond fashion and shopping, Global Village remains known for its massive food offerings and cultural discoveries.
Visitors can pick up authentic products and gifts from different parts of the world, including olive oil and pantry staples from the Syria Pavilion and handcrafted décor pieces from the Turkey Pavilion.
For many residents in Dubai, the attraction offers a budget-friendly evening out during long weekends. Families often spend hours moving between pavilions, trying street food, shopping, watching performances, and enjoying carnival rides.
The Eid celebrations are also expected to boost visitor numbers during the final days of the season.
Global Village Closing Date and Timings
Global Village’s Season 30 officially ends on Sunday, May 31, making this one of the last opportunities for residents to visit before the attraction closes for the summer.
Operating hours during the festive period are:
- Sunday to Thursday: 5 pm to midnight
