Just when Dubai residents thought the season was wrapping up, Global Village has decided to keep the gates open a little longer.
The popular family attraction has officially extended Season 30 until May 31, giving residents and tourists more time to soak in the lively atmosphere before the summer heat fully takes over the city. The announcement arrived on what was originally meant to be the final day of the season, catching many regular visitors by surprise.
For families across the UAE, Global Village is more than just a tourist spot. It is where children run excitedly between Carnaval rides, where friends gather over Turkish ice cream and sizzling street food, and where long evening walks turn into hours of shopping, live performances, and spontaneous entertainment.
Now, with Eid Al Adha approaching, the extension could not have come at a better time.

Dubai families now have one more reason to plan a visit
Over the past few weeks, the crowds at Global Village have remained steady, especially during weekends. Even with temperatures slowly rising across Dubai, the destination continues to pull in families looking for a relaxed evening outdoors.
The extension reflects just how strongly Season 30 has performed.
Fernando Eiroa, CEO of Dubai Holding Entertainment, described the season as a milestone moment for the attraction, highlighting three decades of growth and the continued trust visitors place in the experience year after year.
And honestly, it shows the moment visitors walk through the entrance.
The energy inside Global Village still feels very much alive. Music echoes across the pathways, food stalls stay packed late into the night, and the colourful pavilions continue drawing curious visitors wanting to browse everything from handmade souvenirs to snacks from around the world.
For many Dubai residents, especially families with children, a trip to Global Village has become part of the city’s winter and spring routine. Some go for the shopping. Others come purely for the food. Many simply enjoy the atmosphere.

The new Dh99 Wonder Pass is likely to become a crowd favourite
To keep the excitement going during the extended run, Global Village has also launched a limited-time Dh99 “Wonder Pass.”
The offer gives visitors unlimited access to Carnaval rides for an entire day, covering more than 195 rides, games, and attractions across the entertainment zone.
For parents planning Eid outings, the pass could end up being one of the more budget-friendly entertainment options in Dubai this month.
Carnaval has always been one of the loudest and liveliest corners inside Global Village. Flashing lights, spinning rides, arcade games, and the sound of children bargaining for “one last ride” before heading home are all part of the experience.
As evening temperatures become more manageable after sunset, the area usually fills up quickly with families and groups of friends moving between rollercoasters, funfair games, and snack kiosks.
New rides and kids’ attractions are keeping visitors entertained longer
This season also introduced several new rides that have added fresh energy to the park.
Among them are Toronto Tornado, Cape Gliders, Rio Rocket, Desert Dashers, and York Bikes. While thrill-seekers line up for the faster rides, younger children have been spending time inside the newer “Little Wonderers” zone.
The indoor attraction has quietly become a favourite for parents.
With climbing frames, obstacle courses, and interactive activities, it offers children a place to stay active while escaping the heat for a while. On busier evenings, the area stays packed with families well past dinner time.
Global Village has also continued operating on extended timings. The attraction remains open from 5pm until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays, while weekday operations run until midnight.
That late-night schedule is part of what makes the destination feel distinctly Dubai. Families often arrive after dinner, especially during weekends, and spend hours wandering through the pavilions without feeling rushed.
Eid Al Adha could bring even bigger crowds this year
The timing of the extension is especially significant because it now overlaps with the Eid Al Adha holiday period, one of the busiest times for entertainment and tourism across the UAE.
Public holidays usually bring a noticeable spike in footfall to attractions across Dubai, and Global Village is often right at the centre of it.
Visitors can easily spend an entire evening there without repeating the same experience twice. One moment it is shopping for spices and perfumes, the next it is watching stunt performances, trying international desserts, or catching cultural dance shows happening across the venue.
For tourists visiting Dubai during Eid, Global Village also offers something many attractions cannot — a little bit of everything in one place.

Global Village still feels special after 30 seasons
After three decades, Global Village has managed to hold onto something many entertainment destinations eventually lose — its atmosphere.
Even regular visitors who return every year still find something different to experience. New food concepts appear each season. Different performances pop up across the venue. And every pavilion has its own personality, especially during busy evenings when the entire park feels alive.
That balance between nostalgia and constant reinvention is a big reason why the attraction continues drawing millions of visitors every season.
Now, with the closing date pushed to May 31, residents still have time for one final visit before Dubai’s outdoor season officially slows down for summer.
And judging by the crowds already filling the pathways at night, many families are clearly planning exactly that.
