Dubai Marathon 2024 Dates Are Out, Event To Take Place On January 7

Is fitness and running a marathon your goal? Are you training hard to become the best version of yourself? If yes, then you have 9 months from now to get in the best shape since Dubai’s most fun and Middle East’s first and oldest marathon, Dubai Marathon, is making a comeback on Sunday, January 7th, 2024. The entries for the Dubai Marathon are now open; read on for all the deets.

You Can Participate In 4Km, 10Km and 42.195Km Races

Following an agreement with the Dubai Sports Council, the Dubai Marathon will return for its 23rd staging on Sunday, January 7th, with three types of races. Depending on your fitness levels, interest and goals, you can partake in either a 4km fun run, 10km or the classic 42.195km full marathon.

In terms of registration, you have to register on Dubai Marathon’s website, and the entry costs AED150 for a full marathon, AED85 for a 10 km race and AED50 for 4KM fun run. The 2024 Dubai Marathon will be staged under the aegis of the Dubai Sports Council, and organisers will also work throughout the year with Dubai Police, Dubai RTA and Dubai Municipality to formalise routes for all three races.

Speaking about the marathon, Dubai Sports Council Secretary General, His Excellency Saeed Hareb, said, “The Dubai Marathon is one of the largest annual events in Dubai and is eagerly awaited by runners of all ages and abilities with participants from both in and outside the UAE.”

He added, “We will continue to work closely with the organisers to stage another memorable event and we are currently in the planning stage for next year.”
