In a candid chat at the launch of Raj Pandit’s new song “Kooriye,” Aamir Khan spilled the beans on his pre-debut jitters for Junaid. The “Laal Singh Chaddha” star shared, “When Junaid’s film Maharaj was released, I was very stressed about whether people would like his work or not. Junaid has worked really hard for himself and he never accepted any help from me in any way ever. So I’m very proud and happy that he made it on his own terms in his own way.”
Of course, the nepotism chatter isn’t far behind. But Aamir Khan’s open admission of Junaid’s independent journey shuts down the naysayers. This young Khan has carved his own path without riding on his dad’s coattails, proving his mettle and talent to the industry and audiences alike.

What’s “Maharaj” All About?
For those who missed it, “Maharaj” is a gripping historical drama set against the backdrop of the 1862 Maharaj Libel Case, one of India’s greatest legal battles. Directed by Sidharth P. Malhotra and produced by YRF Entertainment, the film stars the talented debutante Junaid Khan alongside powerhouses like Jaideep Ahlawat and Shalini Pandey, with a special appearance by Sharvari.
What’s Next for Junaid Khan?
Junaid is not stopping at OTT success. He’s already on the move with a rom-com opposite Khushi Kapoor, a remake of a popular Tamil flick. Plus, there’s more buzz as he is set to share the screen with the incredibly talented Sai Pallavi. We can’t wait to see more of him on the big screen!
