UAE To Open Hajj 2026 Registration On 24 September

Pilgrims across the UAE can apply online through Awqaf’s official platform, with priority for first-time applicants

Pilgrims in the UAE preparing for Hajj 2026 can now mark their calendars. Authorities have confirmed that online registration for the pilgrimage will open on 24 September 2025 and close on 9 October 2025. Applications will be processed through the official portal and mobile app of the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat (Awqaf).

The early launch is designed to give residents more time to plan, ensuring smoother arrangements for the journey. The system will continue to focus on fairness and efficiency, with additional emphasis on giving priority to first-time pilgrims.

How The Registration Will Work

The Awqaf’s electronic registration system has been upgraded with new digital features to make the process more transparent and accessible. Applicants will be able to submit their details, check requirements, and monitor updates through a secure online platform.

To qualify, individuals must meet specific conditions that will be announced before registration opens. These include health, financial, and legal requirements that ensure pilgrims are fully prepared for the journey. Authorities have urged interested applicants to review all guidelines carefully to avoid delays or missed opportunities.

Preparing For A Sacred Journey

Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam, and every Muslim who is able is encouraged to perform it at least once in their lifetime. In 2025, more than 6,000 pilgrims from the UAE were approved to join the sacred journey, and similar numbers are expected for the 2026 season.

Residents in Dubai and across the Emirates are encouraged to prepare documents early and monitor official announcements for any additional instructions. Timely registration is key, as applications will not be accepted once the window closes on 9 October.

Step-By-Step Application Guide

  • Mark the Dates: Registration opens on 24 September and closes on 9 October 2025.
  • Check Eligibility: Confirm you meet the health, financial, and legal conditions set by Awqaf.
  • Register Online: Submit your application via Awqaf’s official portal or mobile app.
  • Prepare Documents: Keep all required documents ready to avoid delays.
  • Stay Updated: Follow announcements for final approval lists and travel arrangements.

Applying early increases your chances of selection, especially with the system giving priority to first-time pilgrims. Authorities emphasise that being prepared in advance—both spiritually and logistically—ensures a smoother and more organised experience for applicants from Dubai and across the UAE.

With registrations set to begin on 24 September 2025, now is the time for UAE residents planning to perform Hajj 2026 to prepare. From checking eligibility to submitting applications online, the process is designed to be simple, fair, and transparent.

Stay tuned for more updates as the Awqaf announces detailed requirements closer to the registration date.
