2. Grand Mosque, Bur Dubai
Nestled in the heritage area, this beautiful mosque can accommodate around 1200 worshippers at a time. It is the biggest mosque in Dubai, and the mosque also boasts the tallest minaret in Dubai. Entry to the mosque is free, and you can avail of a tour from Sunday to Thursday between 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM. The tour lasts about 45 mins, and the intricate design, carvings, and old-school architecture will definitely stun you.
3. Al Noor Mosque, Sharjah
Located in Sharjah, Al Noor mosque is built in traditional Ottoman-style architecture with 34 domes. The domes, minarets and fine detailing take visitors one step closer to the Emirati heritage, Islamic culture and history. The mosque can accommodate at least 2,200 people in one go.
4. Iranian Mosque, Dubai
Located in the Satwa area in Dubai, the Iranian Mosque is a Shia Mosque. Being one of the few Iranian mosques in the UAE, the design of the mosque is a mix of Persian and quasi-Fatimid architectural styles. With intricate blue tiles and stunning colourful design, this is one-of-its-kind mosque in the UAE.
5. Jumeirah Mosque, Dubai
One of the cultural landmarks in Dubai is the Jumeirah mosque, built by the late HH Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed Al Maktoum. Made out of pure-white stone, in the traditional Fatimid style, it features intricate geometric designs, Arabic calligraphy and beautiful motifs.
