On 20 May 2021, Dubai’s Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan announced the birth of twins – Sheikha and Rashid on his social media channel. The twins turned two this weekend and daddy dearest greeted his kids with an adorable video on Instagram to his 15 million followers on the happy occasion.
The video begins with a photograph of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with the twins taken two months after their birth. It then cuts to footage of the twins on outings with Sheikh Hamdan, including time at the stables with a horse, flying a kite, sledding in the snow, and interacting with giraffes. The video then concludes with a birthday greeting.
HH Hamdan captioned his Instagram post with a prayer in Arabic with the names of his children. That’s not all! The Crown Prince also threw a grand birthday bash for his twin babies. The children each had a four-tier birthday cake as part of the celebrations, and HH Hamdan also took to Instagram to cute share snippets from the party.
Sheikh Rashid had an adorable Winnie the Pooh-themed cake while Sheikha Shaikha got a cute flower-filled birthday cake dotted with fondant deer, baby pink roses and sprigs of purple lavender. It was topped off with a huge pink heart which had Shaikha’s name.
Dubai’s Crown Prince also posted a picture of his son on Instagram on his birthday.
In the picture, the two-year-old’s face is hidden from view behind a sippy cup and he is wearing a blue and white striped Paw-Patrol t-shirt. The Crown Prince captioned the image “have a wonderful day”.
This is not the first time Sheikh Hamdan has shared glimpses of his children’s life on social media.
