UAE Ambulance Teams on High Alert Ahead of Eid Al Adha Rush

To manage the expected rush, National Ambulance has announced full operational readiness across the Northern Emirates, with additional ambulance crews and emergency response teams being deployed in high-footfall areas during the holiday period.

The move comes ahead of what is usually one of the busiest travel and family weekends in the UAE calendar, when residents head out late into the night for shopping, dining, beach trips, and Eid gatherings.

Ambulance teams to be deployed across busy Eid hotspots

From early morning Eid prayers to crowded waterfronts and shopping centres, authorities are expecting heavy movement across public spaces throughout the holiday break.

National Ambulance, which operates under the Federal Authority for Ambulance and Civil Defence, said its preparedness plan focuses on boosting emergency response coverage in areas likely to witness large gatherings.

That includes mosques and Eid prayer grounds, slaughterhouses, beaches, parks, malls, and major tourist attractions across the Northern Emirates.

In cities across the UAE, Eid mornings often begin before sunrise. Families head to prayer grounds dressed in traditional Eid clothing, while roads near mosques quickly fill with vehicles. Later in the day, beaches, restaurants, entertainment destinations, and shopping malls become some of the busiest spots in the country.

Authorities say the expanded ambulance presence is designed to ensure faster response times during emergencies and help medical teams reach people quickly if incidents occur.

Authorities are coordinating closely ahead of holiday crowds

National Ambulance also confirmed that coordination meetings have already taken place with police authorities and strategic partners across the Northern Emirates.

The goal is simple — keep communication smooth between emergency teams, traffic authorities, and civil defence units during the holiday rush.

Holiday weekends in the UAE usually bring heavier traffic on highways leading towards Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah, and Abu Dhabi, especially during evening hours.

Authorities warned that speeding, distracted driving, sudden lane changes, and driver fatigue remain among the biggest causes of accidents during festive periods.

Motorists are being encouraged to remain patient in traffic and avoid rushing between destinations.

Families have also been advised to closely supervise children in crowded public spaces and recreational areas, particularly near beaches and parks.

With temperatures steadily rising across the UAE, medical teams are also warning residents about dehydration and heat exhaustion during outdoor activities. Even short periods outdoors in the afternoon heat can become exhausting, especially for children and elderly family members.

Many residents are expected to spend time outdoors during Eid fireworks, beach visits, and family picnics, making hydration and sun protection especially important this year.

National Ambulance has reminded residents that emergency services will continue operating around the clock during the holiday period.

People requiring urgent medical assistance are being urged to contact the emergency ambulance number 998 immediately.

Officials stressed that quick reporting can help ambulance crews respond faster and provide timely medical support during emergencies.

For many UAE residents, Eid Al Adha is a time for family visits, celebrations, travel, and community gatherings. But with larger crowds and busier roads expected across the country, authorities are urging everyone to celebrate responsibly and remain aware of their surroundings.
