You might have only ridden a toboggan or bobsleigh, but you no longer have to travel to another country to experience this. Ras Al Khaimah is now home to the region’s fastest mountain toboggan- Jais Sledder. The recently added adrenaline-pumping activity will offer riders scenic views of the Hajar mountains while soaring speeds of up to 40kph.
The Jais Sledder is built to the highest safety and technical standards and the latest design technology. The sleds are designed to seat two people comfortably, one in front and the other in the back. You are safely secured into the sled, and each sledder has access to the braking system. Tickets cost AED 60 for an adult and one child, or AED 40 for adults. Children under eight must ride on a two-seater sled with an adult who is at least eight years old or 1.35 meters tall. To ride alone, children over the age of eight must be at least 1.35 meters tall. If you are over 1.35 meters tall and weigh no more than 150 kg each sled, you may ride alone or with another person. Tickets are available for purchase from the ticket counter at the bottom station.
