Things to Do in Dubai This Weekend at Dubai Festival Plaza

Some weekends in Dubai are all about big outdoor plans. This one feels different.

With things shifting across the city, most of the action has moved indoors — and honestly, it works. Air-conditioned spaces, organised schedules, and everything happening in one place.

If you’re looking for things to do in Dubai this weekend, here’s something simple: head to Dubai Festival Plaza. It’s where everything is actually happening right now — properly scheduled, easy to follow, and ideal if you just want a plan that works.

“Mena W Fena” Activations – Dubai festival city mall

Location: Dubai festival city mall
Dates: 10 – 12 April 2026
Timings: Throughout the day

Walk in, and you’ll notice it straight away — something’s happening in almost every corner.

The “Mena W Fena (From Us, For Us)” activations bring a mix of performances, pop-ups, and brand experiences together. It doesn’t feel like a single event, more like a full-day atmosphere.

You’ll hear music before you see the stage. Kids running between stores. Small crowds are forming, then moving again. It’s busy, but not overwhelming — just enough to keep things interesting.

Spacetoon Characters Parade — A Proper Crowd-Pleaser

Location: Festival Plaza
Dates: 10 – 12 April 2026
Time: From 4:00 PM onwards (daily)

Right around late afternoon, the energy shifts.

Music gets louder, kids start gathering along the walkways, and then the parade begins. Bluey, Cocomelon, Barney — all the familiar faces show up, dancing their way through the mall.

It’s cheerful, a little chaotic, and full of those quick moments — kids waving, parents filming, everyone smiling without really thinking about it.

Geoffrey the Giraffe — Unexpected Little Moments

Location: Festival Plaza (Toys “R” Us area)
Dates: 10 – 12 April 2026
Timings: Appearing at intervals throughout the day

This isn’t something you wait in line for — it just happens.

You’re walking past Toys “R” Us, and suddenly Geoffrey the Giraffe is there. Waving, posing, stopping for photos. Kids run up instantly, no hesitation.

It’s simple, but that’s what makes it work. No stage, no big setup — just those small, happy interactions.

Global Art Activity — A Quiet Creative Break

• Location: Festival Plaza
• Dates: 10 – 12 April 2026
• Timings: Open throughout the day

Step away from the noise for a bit, and you’ll find this corner.

Tables set up with colouring sheets, comics, and art supplies. Kids sitting quietly, completely focused — a different kind of energy compared to everything else happening around.

It’s free, easy, and a good pause if the day starts feeling a bit too busy.

Live Performance by Abdulla Al Shehi — Music That Pulls You In

Location: Festival Plaza
Dates: 10 – 12 April 2026
Timings: Scheduled across the day

You might not plan your visit around this, but you’ll probably stop when you hear it.

A live set starts, people gather naturally, and suddenly there’s a small crowd just standing, listening. Abdulla Al Shehi’s performance adds that live element the space needs.

It’s not loud or overwhelming. Just good music, echoing through the mall, pulling people in for a few minutes before they move on again.

This weekend in Dubai isn’t about rushing across the city trying to tick off plans.

It’s simpler than that.

One location, multiple things happening, and enough variety to keep everyone entertained — whether you’re with friends, family, or just stepping out for a change of scene.

Sometimes, that’s all you really need.
