Do you live in Saudi Arabia and own a Saudi Passport? If yes, then we have good news for you. Well, Saudi citizens can now visit Singapore visa-free from June 1st, 2023. Yep, you read that right! The Singaporean Embassy in Riyadh has announced that Saudi citizens with valid passports no longer need visas to enter Singapore from June 1, 2023. Read on for all the deets.

The Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) has stated that holders of Saudi diplomatic passports are exempted from Singapore visa requirements, as other Saudi Nationals, need to apply for the visa if they plan to visit Singapore before June 1st and if the travel dates are post June 1st, then they can explore the Asian country, visa-free. In terms of visa fees, the embassy has emphasized that if you have already paid for the visa fees, no refund of visa processing fees is applicable.
People Who Have Already Paid For Visa Fees Will Not Get A Refund

If you are a Saudi passport holder, you can visit Asian countries like Hong Kong, Malaysia, South Korea and the Philippines visa-free. Gulf countries like Jordan, UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Morocco are also visa-free for Saudi Nationals.

Not only Saudi Nationals, but Qatari Passport holders can now visit Japan visa-free. Recently, The Department of Consular Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the Japanese authorities have waived off visa rules for Qatari passport holders, and they can now visit the country visa-free. Here are some steps that they need to follow:
- The applicant must submit (by himself or his representative) his passport and the passport registration application form to any Japanese diplomatic mission, provided that the validity of the passport is more than six months.
- 2- The Japanese diplomatic mission will return the passport with the visa waiver registration stamp. The applicant will receive his passport on the next working day following the date of application submission.
- Qatari nationals must preregister at any Japanese embassy or consulate to obtain visa-free entry; once registered, Qatari nationals will be able to enter Japan without a visa for thirty consecutive days for three years.
- In addition, Qatari passport holders who plan to stay in Japan for more than 30 consecutive days or for business purposes need to obtain a pre-entry visa. Passport holders in the State of Qatar who have previously registered their passports must register any new passports they receive or any changes to the names of the passport holders.
- Applicants who applied for passport registration and got rejected are advised to apply for a regular visa.
