Dubai’s toll operator Salik is expanding its services beyond highways, introducing a new way to pay for valet parking across the UAE. Starting June 1, drivers will be able to use their Salik e-wallet to pay valet fees at more than 100 locations, making the process quicker and more seamless.
The move comes through a partnership with Valtrans Transportation Systems and Services, one of the country’s leading valet service providers.
Salik Expands Beyond Toll Gates
For years, Salik has been part of daily commutes in Dubai, mainly associated with toll gates. Now, the company is stepping into everyday lifestyle services by integrating valet parking payments into its system.
This update means drivers no longer need to carry cash or rely on separate payment methods when using valet services. Instead, the fee will be deducted directly from their Salik balance.
The service will be available at high-traffic destinations, including popular spots like Mall of the Emirates and Dubai International Financial Centre, where valet parking is often the preferred choice due to busy parking areas.
Where You Can Use This Service?
The rollout will cover over 100 locations across the UAE, primarily at:
- Shopping malls
- Hotels
- Commercial hubs
- Entertainment venues
At valet points operated by Valtrans, customers can simply use their Salik-linked account to settle the service fee.
There’s no need for additional apps or registrations beyond having an active Salik account. The process is designed to feel as simple as passing through a toll gate—automatic and hassle-free.
Importantly, there has been no announcement of price increases tied to this update. Drivers can expect valet charges to remain the same, just with a different payment method.
Key Spots Included in the Rollout
In cities like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, valet parking isn’t just a luxury—it’s often a necessity, especially in crowded areas during weekends or peak hours.
This integration brings a few practical benefits:
- Faster transactions: No waiting for card machines or cash handling
- Convenience: One account for multiple mobility services
- Less friction: Smoother entry and exit at busy locations
For residents who already rely on Salik daily, this adds another layer of ease to their routine.
It also reflects a broader shift in the UAE towards cashless, smart city solutions. From public transport cards to parking apps, the country continues to streamline everyday experiences using digital systems.
Making Everyday Parking Easier
Salik’s CEO, Ibrahim Sultan Al Haddad, described the partnership as a step forward in building a connected mobility ecosystem. The goal is to simplify how people move and pay across different services in the UAE.
Meanwhile, Valtrans’ Group CEO, Imad Alameddine, highlighted that the integration is focused on improving customer experience without compromising service quality.
Both companies are positioning this as part of a larger push towards innovation in transport and urban convenience.
The Next Phase of Salik’s Growth
This is likely just the beginning. With Salik expanding into new areas, it opens the door for more integrations in the future—possibly including parking, fuel payments, or other mobility-related services.
For now, the focus remains on valet parking, but the direction is clear: fewer payment systems, more unified experiences.
From June 1, paying for valet parking across the UAE is set to become more convenient with Salik’s e-wallet integration. With over 100 locations included in the rollout, drivers can expect quicker, smoother transactions at some of the country’s busiest destinations.
As the UAE continues to embrace smart mobility, this update is another step towards making daily life simpler for residents and visitors alike.
