The much-anticipated comedy caper “Welcome to the Jungle” is making waves, but not for all the right reasons. The latest tea? Sanjay Dutt has reportedly backed out of the Akshay Kumar-starrer due to health concerns. And yes, it’s causing quite the stir!
“Welcome to the Jungle” has been on everyone’s radar, promising a laughter riot with its star-studded cast. The film marks the sizzling reunion of Raveena Tandon and Akshay Kumar after two decades, and fans are pumped to see their on-screen magic again. But here’s the twist in the tale: Sanjay Dutt, who was supposed to bring his own brand of hilarity, has had to exit stage left.
Why Did Sanjay Dutt Step Back from ‘welcome to the jungle’?
According to a juicy report from Pinkvilla, Sanju Baba’s character demanded a lot of action-packed sequences. Given his recent health battles, including a fight with stage 4 lung cancer which he bravely overcame in 2021, Dutt decided it was best to step away from the high-octane role. The source revealed, “He has done intense action in films like KGF 2, Leo, and Samrat Prithviraj, but this time, he’s prioritizing his health.” He had only managed to shoot for a single day at Madh Island before making the tough call.
Despite Dutt’s exit, the excitement for “Welcome to the Jungle” remains sky-high. Akshay Kumar and Sanjay Dutt have shared screen space in hits like “Amaanat,” “Blue,” and “Samrat Prithviraj,” and were set to reunite for this and “Hera Pheri 3.” The film still boasts an ensemble that promises non-stop entertainment.
Directed by Ahmed Khan, it features a galaxy of stars: Suniel Shetty, Arshad Warsi, Johnny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Krushna Abhishek, and Kiku Sharda. And let’s not forget the music maestros Daler Mehndi and Mika Singh, along with Sayaji Shinde, Mukesh Tiwari, Zakir Hussain, Yashpal Sharma, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Jacqueline Fernandez, Disha Patani, and newbie Vrihi Kodvara.
So, while we’ll miss Sanjay Dutt’s unique comic flair, “Welcome to the Jungle” still promises to be a blockbuster of epic proportions.
