Ramayana: The Introduction First Glimpse featuring Ranbir kapoor & Yash Promises a Cinematic Masterpiece

One of the most legendary tales ever told is about to hit the big screen like never before, and Ranbir Kapoor is wielding the bow and arrow, stepping into the divine role of Lord Ram in what’s shaping up to be the biggest cinematic moment of our time – Ramayana. This isn’t just a movie. It’s a whole universe.

Ramayana: The Introduction – The Glimpse That will blow your minds

Drop everything and prepare for goosebumps, because Ramayana: The Introduction just dropped its first look, and it’s pure, spine-tingling brilliance. The makers released a 3-minute glimpse across nine cities in India and on the giant screens of Times Square (yes, NYC got blessed too), turning it into no ordinary teaser. It’s a declaration: cinema is about to change.

Ram vS Ravan: The OG Face-Off, Now On IMAX

The makers are reimagining the age-old clash between light and darkness, dharma and adharma, in full-throttle epic style. Ranbir Kapoor as Ram is all grace and grit, while Yash transforms into the terrifyingly intense Ravana whose roar practically cracks the sky. The visual tease shows a cosmic war in the making, and we are ready.

Director Nitesh Tiwari is swinging for the stars and landing among them. With Namit Malhotra producing and Yash co-producing, this film is a desi-meets-global dream project that’s assembling talent from across the planet. Think Hollywood flair, Indian soul, and blockbuster energy rolled into one.

Namit Malhotra, producer, filmmaker, founder of Prime Focus, and CEO of DNEG, shares, “This is a cultural movement for every Indian around the world. With Ramayana, we’re not just retelling history; we’re introducing our legacy to the world.Bringing together the finest global talent allows us to tell this story with authenticity, emotion, and state-of-the-art cinematic innovation. We’ve seen Ramayana portrayed before — but this version reimagines its landscapes, creatures, and battles with the scale and splendour they deserve. As Indians, this is our truth. Now, it will be our gift to the world.”

Nitesh Tiwari, director of the film shares, “Ramayana is a story we’ve all grown up with. It carries the soul of our culture. Our aim was to honour that soul — and present it with the cinematic scale it truly deserves. As a filmmaker, it’s both a huge responsibility and a heartfelt honour to bring it to life. . It’s a tale that has endured across millennia because it speaks to something deep and eternal within us. We are not simply making a film. We are offering a vision — one rooted in reverence, shaped by excellence, and made to transcend borders”

An Ensemble That Screams ICONIC

The cast? Simply jaw-dropping.

  • Ranbir Kapoor as Ram = calm, composed, lethal.
  • Yash as Ravana = dark, majestic, dangerous.
  • Sai Pallavi as Sita = serene strength personified.
  • Sunny Deol as Hanuman = imagine that roar!
  • Ravi Dubey as Lakshman = loyalty and fire.

This isn’t casting. It’s destiny.

Hans Zimmer + A.R. Rahman = Music That’ll Echo Through Eternity

What do you get when Oscar-winner Hans Zimmer and India’s music maestro A.R. Rahman join hands? A soundscape that’s bound to send shivers down your spine. This is not just background score, it’s a cosmic soundtrack for a battle that spans lifetimes.

From the Minds Behind Dune, Mad Max & Avengers

The behind-the-scenes team is equally wild. The action is being choreographed by Terry Notary (yes, Avengers) and Guy Norris (Mad Max fans, assemble!). The look? Set designers from Dune 2, Aladdin, Tomorrowland and Captain America are reimagining ancient India like we’ve never seen it before.

This isn’t your average mythological film. The makers are shooting Ramayana on IMAX, designing it for immersive screens, and crafting it with global appeal. They’re building a two-part mega-universe, with Part 1 dropping on Diwali 2026 and Part 2 lighting up screens by Diwali 2027. So yes, your future Diwalis are officially booked!
