Bollywood’s comedic genius, Rajpal Yadav, has a knack for making us laugh until we cry with his impeccable timing and unforgettable performances. From the bumbling, lovable loser to the outrageous sidekick, Yadav has turned every role into a masterclass of comedy. Whether it’s his iconic turn in Chup Chup Ke or his riotous performance in Hera Pheri, he’s the go-to guy for a hearty laugh.
Rajpal Yadav in heavy debt?
But it seems Yadav’s laughter might be on pause. Recent reports reveal a serious turn of events. His property, worth Rs 11 crore, has been seized by the bank. The reason? He failed to repay a hefty loan. The Shahjahanpur branch of the Central Bank of India seized his ancestral property. Yadav borrowed against it for his production venture, Navrang Godavari Entertainment Limited, back in 2005.
The initial loan was a modest Rs 5 crore, but it seems Yadav’s financial juggling act didn’t quite go as planned, and now the debt has spiraled to Rs 11 crore. On August 8, bank officials swooped in with a vengeance, sealing the property near Shahjahanpur’s dak bungalow. Word has it that they were so eager to lock things down, they didn’t even bother turning off the lights inside.
Despite financial woes, the show must go on. Rajpal Yadav returns to the big screen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. He stars alongside Kartik Aaryan, Triptii Dimri, and Vidya Balan. Fans can be assured his humor remains sharp, despite his bank balance.
Rajpal Yadav is set to appear in Akshay Kumar’s Welcome to the Jungle and also stars in the film Maktoob. His roles in these projects are anticipated to bring his unique comedic flair to the screen.
