In a festive Diwali episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16, Varun revealed his baby girl’s name for the first time, with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan making the announcement! Big B, calling this Diwali “extra special” for Varun, couldn’t help but share his own priceless wisdom on fatherhood. His tip? Keep the missus happy, and everything else will fall into place! Yep, according to the legend himself, “Wife is supreme.”
But Varun didn’t just reveal Lara’s name – he talked about what it’s been like entering this new phase of life. “Everything changes when a baby arrives,” he admitted, his smile full of that proud dad glow. And it’s no wonder; he’s been soaking up all the tips he can from Bollywood’s veteran superstar dad, Mr. Bachchan. Varun even took to Instagram earlier this year to announce Lara’s arrival, posting, “Our baby girl is here. Thank you for all the good wishes for the mama and the baby,” and followed it up on Father’s Day with a heartfelt nod to his new “girl dad” status.

In Latin, it nods to the Roman gods who guarded home and hearth; in Greek, Lara was a graceful nymph, while in Spanish, it means “laurel” – a symbol of victory.
