You know things are wild when even Salman Khan becomes national news. On April 14, things escalated once again as Mumbai’s Transport Department received a chilling WhatsApp message threatening not only to enter his home but also to blow up his vehicle.
After a round of intense cyber-sleuthing and police hustle, the sender was traced to Vadodara, Gujarat. The cops revealed the man is mentally unstable and has been under the radar since 2014. So no, this wasn’t some gangster mastermind like Lawrence Bishnoi it was someone struggling with mental health issues. The police haven’t arrested him but are keeping things under a tight watch with questioning in the works.
Salman Khan’s been dodging threats since the ’90s. It all started post the infamous 1998 blackbuck controversy during Hum Saath-Saath Hain. Since then, the Lawrence Bishnoi gang has had it out for him, with threats being tossed like confetti every other year. From being the prime target to his Bandra residence being shot at last year, Bhaijaan’s been in the eye of the storm.
And let’s not forget that horrifying April 14 incident, when two men on bikes fired four rounds at his house. That attack was proudly claimed by the Bishnoi gang on Facebook like some twisted status update. They even took credit for Baba Siddiqui’s death – Salman’s close friend.
