In a tragic turn of events, Bollywood and the television industry have lost a beloved actor. Nitesh Pandey, who was known for his iconic roles ‘Om Shanti Om’ and ‘Anupamaa’, has passed away at the age of 51 due to a cardiac arrest.
Sources report that Nitesh was in Igatpuri, a hill station near Mumbai, at the time of his death, where he was shooting. He had been a part of the entertainment industry for over 25 years and was a familiar face on Indian television.
Pandey began his career in theatre in 1990 and soon made his way to the big screen, making his debut in the 1995 film ‘Tejas’. He went on to work in several popular television shows, including ‘Manzilein Apani Apani’, ‘Astitva…Ek Prem Kahani’, ‘Saaya’, ‘Justajoo’, and ‘Durgesh Nandini’. He was also a part of the cast of the acclaimed film ‘Khosla Ka Ghosla’ and the upcoming release ‘Badhaai Do’.
In addition to his acting career, Nitesh also ran his own independent production house named Dream Castle Productions. He was a talented performer who was appreciated by audiences and critics alike for his work.
Pandey hailed from Almora Kumaon in Uttrakhand and was married to actress Arpita Pandey, whom he met on the set of the TV show ‘Justajoo’. The couple tied the knot in 2003. Pandey had previously been married to actress Ashwini Kalsekar.
