Dubai’s New Taxi Booking Feature: Hail a Ride via WhatsApp Anytime, Anywhere

In a big move to make commuting easier, Dubai’s e-hailing taxi service, Hala, now lets you book taxis through WhatsApp. This service is available 24/7, making it super convenient to get a ride anytime you need.

The Need for Easier Taxi Booking

Dubai is a busy city, and getting a taxi can sometimes be a hassle. Traditional booking methods can be tricky, especially if you’re not into downloading multiple apps. This can lead to delays and frustration, especially during rush hours.

Hala’s WhatsApp Booking Feature

Hala, a joint venture between Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Careem, has come up with a solution. By using WhatsApp, one of the most popular messaging apps, Hala makes booking a taxi easier and more accessible. Hala CEO Khaled Nuseibeh said, “WhatsApp allows us to reach a wider audience and engage with its large user base in the city. By introducing this additional booking channel, Hala continues to make a difference in the way people commute daily across Dubai.”

How to Book a Taxi on WhatsApp

Booking a taxi through WhatsApp is simple. Here’s how you can do it:

  • Start the Booking: Send a message saying “Hi” to 800 HALATAXI (4252 8294).
  • Share Your Location: The Hala chatbot will ask for your location.
  • Get Confirmation: You will receive a booking confirmation with the driver’s details and estimated arrival time.
  • Track Your Ride: You can track your ride in real-time.
  • Share Your Journey: You will get a live tracking link to share with friends and family.
  • Pay Easily: Pay at the drop-off location using card or cash.

Why This Feature Is Great

  • Always Available: You can book a ride anytime, day or night.
  • Easy to Use: No need for extra apps; just use WhatsApp.
  • Real-Time Updates: Stay updated with real-time tracking.
  • Safe and Transparent: Share your ride details and get clear fare information.

Changing the Way We Commute

This new feature is set to change how people get around in Dubai. With 24,000 drivers and 12,000 cars, Hala is ready to meet the needs of both residents and visitors. Using WhatsApp for booking makes the process simpler and more inclusive.

Dubai – Embracing Digital Solutions

Hala’s WhatsApp booking feature shows the company’s commitment to using digital solutions to improve user experience. As Dubai grows, such innovations are key to keeping transportation efficient and user-friendly.

By making taxi booking as easy as sending a WhatsApp message, Hala is setting a new standard for convenience in urban transportation. Whether you’re a resident or a visitor, this new feature promises to make your daily commute smoother and more enjoyable.
