Dubai Ride 2026 Parking: RTA Names 3 Car Parks for Riders

Quick answer

  • Dubai Ride 2026 takes place on Sunday, 1 November 2026, on Sheikh Zayed Road and through Downtown Dubai.
  • The RTA has named three designated car parks for Dubai Ride 2026 riders: Dubai World Trade Centre Parking, Dubai Mall Parking and Dubai Mall Zabeel Parking.
  • The RTA asks riders to leave their cars at one of these car parks and head directly to the event.
  • Sheikh Zayed Road is used for the ride, so drivers who are not taking part should expect it to be unavailable on Sunday morning and check the RTA for closure times.

The RTA has published the Dubai Ride 2026 parking plan, naming three car parks where cyclists should leave their cars before the event on Sunday, 1 November. The update matters for every rider driving in with a bike on the rack, and for any motorist who uses Sheikh Zayed Road or Downtown Dubai early on a Sunday.

What the RTA announced

On 29 October 2026, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority shared the parking locations for Dubai Ride 2026 on its official X account. The authority said designated parking will be available for the ride and told participants to park at one of three locations and then go straight to the event.

The RTA post did not mention parking fees or opening times for these car parks, so riders should not assume parking will be free.

Dubai Ride 2026 parking and what it means for drivers

Dubai Ride is part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge. According to the Dubai Media Office, the 2026 edition is presented by DP World and runs along Sheikh Zayed Road and through Downtown Dubai. The Media Office said more than 40,000 cyclists took part in 2025, more than double the number at the first edition in 2020.

With numbers like that, thousands of cars will be heading to the same few places before sunrise. Sending riders to three large car parks close to the route is meant to stop people from parking on side streets or stopping on busy roads to unload bikes.

For drivers who are not riding, the main point is simple: Sheikh Zayed Road through the city centre is used for the ride on Sunday morning. At the time of writing, the RTA had not yet published the road closure times or official alternative routes for Dubai Ride 2026. We will add them to our Dubai road closures tracker as soon as they are announced.

Practical tips for riders and drivers

  • Pick your car park the night before. Choose the designated car park closest to where you plan to start, and save it in your maps app so you are not searching for an entrance in the dark.
  • Leave early. With tens of thousands of riders expected, the roads into Trade Centre and Downtown Dubai will be busy well before the start.
  • Load and unload inside the car park. Do not stop on the hard shoulder or a slip road to take bikes off a rack. It is unsafe and can earn you a fine.
  • Not riding? Plan around it. If you need to cross the city on Sunday morning, look at routes that avoid Sheikh Zayed Road, such as Al Khail Road or Al Wasl Road, and check the RTA’s channels for the official closure times.
  • Budget for parking. Fees for the three car parks were not included in the RTA announcement. Our Salik and parking calculator can help you estimate the cost of other trips around the city.
