Dubai continues to lead the region with bold infrastructure developments, and the upcoming Dubai Metro Blue Line is no exception. The newly announced Emaar Properties Station will stand out as one of its key features and is set to become the world’s tallest metro station once it is completed in 2029.
During a recent foundation stone ceremony, officials unveiled this striking new station set for construction in Dubai Creek Harbour. It promises to serve both function and form as a transport hub and architectural landmark.
A Landmark for Dubai Creek Harbour
The new station is being developed to support the growing residential and commercial community within Dubai Creek Harbour, with the capacity to serve up to 160,000 passengers daily. Current projections estimate that 70,000 commuters will use the station every day upon its opening.
At 74 meters tall and 38 meters wide, Emaar Properties Station will serve as a key gateway for 40,000 residents and a vital link in the Blue Line corridor.
Emaar Secures Naming Rights
For the first ten years of operation, the station will carry the name Emaar Properties, thanks to a naming rights agreement with the renowned developer behind Burj Khalifa and The Dubai Mall. The move reflects Dubai’s broader strategy of partnering with iconic home-grown brands to shape the identity of its public spaces.
This naming kicks off a series of announcements, with more station naming rights set to be revealed soon.
Setting a New Standard in Metro Design

More than just a stop, Emaar Properties Station embodies a “gateway” concept, with a towering façade and fluid design that complements Dubai Creek Harbour’s modern aesthetics.
The interior will feature natural lighting, warm earth-toned materials, and textured finishes to reflect a premium travel experience. By day, light will cascade through to the platform level, creating an open and inviting ambience. By night, the station will become a glowing beacon, lighting up the city skyline.
Expanding Connectivity Across Dubai
The Dubai Metro Blue Line will stretch 30 kilometres, linking nine major districts through 14 strategically placed stations. Notably, it will be the first metro route to cross Dubai Creek via a 1,300-meter viaduct, boosting east-west connectivity.
By 2040, over 320,000 people will ride the line daily, further strengthening Dubai’s commitment to sustainable and efficient public transport.
A Key Pillar of Dubai’s 2040 Urban Vision
This development is part of the larger Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, which aims to elevate quality of life, reduce congestion, and encourage greater public transport usage. The Emaar Properties Station will anchor these efforts, connecting communities while also creating new economic and real estate value in Dubai Creek Harbour.
As the Blue Line advances, the RTA will unveil more details about the 13 stations, enhancing Dubai’s urban rail system.
