Dubai Announces Remote Learning For Pupils In Ramadan 2023

Ramadan Kareem is expected to begin on March 23rd, and the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has announced that private schools in Dubai will have the option to offer students remote learning on Fridays during the holy month. Here’s everything you must know about it.

KHDA, a regulator for private schools in Dubai, announced this in a tweet and said – it is up to schools and parents to take this discussion. Parents and institutions can decide what works best. 

“In the spirit of togetherness, a directive from UAE and Dubai governments allows remote working for the public sector on Fridays during Ramadan,” the KHDA tweeted on Friday.

In short, private schools can offer distance learning depending on feedback from parent consultations. Besides this, KHDA has also answered some questions for parents and schools.

Besides, authorities have also announced timings for public and private sector employees. The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) said working hours during Ramadan would be 9:00 am to 14:30 pm Monday -Thursday; and 9:00 am to 12:00 pm on Fridays, except for employees whose work requires them to be on a separate shift schedule.

Those employed by federal institutions could anticipate working from 9 am to 2. 30 pm on Monday through Thursday and from 9 am to 12 pm on Fridays during Ramadan, according to plans made for 2022.
