You Will Enjoy A 9-Day Long Holiday In The First Half Of 2024, Here’s How

UAE residents and citizens of the public and private sectors will enjoy a long weekend this week, with the Islamic New Year holiday falling on Friday, the 21st of July. And if you are already missing the long holiday weekend, we have news that will cheer you up and how. In 2024, you might be able to enjoy up to a 9-day long holiday in the first half of 2024 on the occasion of Eid Al Fitr. Read on for all the deets.

The long Holiday In 2024 Will Be In April

As per the calculations done by the Emirates Astronomy Society, the holy month of Ramadan in 2024 is expected to begin on Monday, March 11 and will be for 30 days; hence Eid Al Fitr is expected to fall on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024. In fact, as per the UAE government announcement, public-private sector employees enjoy Eid holidays from Ramadan 29 to Shawwal 3. And if these date predictions are correct, you will enjoy a break from Monday, April 8, till Friday, April 12. And with two weekends- one before the holiday and one after Friday, you will enjoy a nine-day long holiday in the first half of 2024 from Saturday, April 6, till Sunday, April 14.

The tentative dates released by the Emirates Astronomy Society are also in line with the dates found on the Islamic Finder website. However, we will have to wait for the final dates to be announced- which is until next year.
