From earth to space: hh sheikh mohammad holds call with Sultan Al Neyadi

UAE astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi, is scheduled to deliver a virtual speech to UAE citizens during an event in flight at the International Space Station. Al Neyadi will address the audience on Tuesday, March 7 at 7:50 AM (US Eastern Standard Time), or roughly 4:50 PM in the UAE. Audiences will be able to watch a live stream of the NASA Live event.

On March 2, Crew-6 began its six-month space mission at the International Space Station (ISS). Emirati astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi is a member of the crew, making this a historic occasion for the UAE.

The UAE astronaut will be in space for six months, which coincides with the holy month of Ramadan. Al Neyadi previously stated: “It is yet to be announced or shown, but definitely we have a lot going on. On board, I’d like to share some Emirati food. I cherish dates. I’m going to eat dates, and hopefully I’ll tell everyone about this, especially during Ramadan.

4.50pm: ‘Loud and clear’

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid is connected to ISS’s Sultan Al Neyadi! He claims to be able to “hear loud and clear” the ruler of Dubai.

4.56: How is the fifth crew member, Suhail, doing?

“Suhail, the UAE astronaut toy, has coped with microgravity, but I’m still coping with the near weightlessness”, said Al Neyadi in his call.
