The world’s first Real Madrid theme park is opening in Dubai

Football lovers have reached a crescendo! After the World Cup in Qatar came to a close, it looks like fans are dying for something exciting to look forward to. Well, if you’d like some big news, we’ve got something for you. Dubai Parks and Resorts has signed a deal with Real Madrid, one of the world’s biggest and most successful clubs.

what can fans expect?

Dubai will soon boast a unique theme park, dedicated to all thing Real Madrid. From the players to history and their records, Madrid fans are in for a visual treat. The Real Madrid theme park in Dubai caters to families and aims to entertain and engage guests with football-related activities.

Visitors can enjoy audio-visual exhibits, interactive games, and memorabilia that was inspired by the tradition of the group that Fifa awarded the Best Club of the 20th century.

The venue’s design is still being finalized, but it is planned to have a museum, rides like roller coasters and other amusements, as well as eating and drinking establishments, shops selling merchandise, and football matches for fans of all ages.

Fernando Eiroa, Chief Executive Officer at Dubai Holding Entertainment, explained, “Real Madrid is a megastar of world football and one of the world’s most recognised sports teams, with an unmatched track record of success and millions of passionate supporters from every corner of the planet. 

“We look forward to engaging sports fans, families, and children in new and exciting ways and supporting an active youth community across the UAE. This project is in consonance with our vision to contribute to enhancing Dubai as a leading tourist destination.”

Real Madrid’s history dates back to 1902, when teachers and students from universities like Oxford and Cambridge introduced the sport to Madrid. It was ranked as the second-highest-earning football club in 2021, and as of right now, its value is projected to be $5.1 billion.

The world’s first Real Madrid theme park will join Motiongate, Legoland Dubai, Bollywood Park Dubai and Lapita Hotel at Dubai Parks and Resorts.

If things go as per plan, the theme park will open in Q4 this year.
