She was all set make her big Bollywood debut with Karan Johar’s ‘Bedhadak’ alongside fresh faces like Lakshya and Gurfateh Pirzada. But in a twist, that project got shelved. This time, Shanaya’s Bollywood entry comes with a whole new flair. She’s now stepping into the limelight alongside none other than the uber-talented Vikrant Massey in ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan.’ Looks like her debut is back on, and she’s bringing all the feels with her.

This upcoming film, under Mini Films, promises to be anything but your average love story. ‘Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’ dives into romance with a side of ghosting – giving that classic tale of love a modern-day twist. Both Vikrant and Shanaya made things Insta-official with this announcement. They teasing fans with, “Love is Blind… or is it the blind love?”.
Vikrant massey ready to play lover boy
Vikrant Massey – The man’s made a mark with some seriously intense roles, but who doesn’t love a lover boy moment? Even Vikrant’s buzzing with excitement about stepping into this romantic role, and according to his interview with Pinkvilla, he’s absolutely pumped! He shared, “Playing a lover boy is an exciting challenge, and the scale of Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan feels truly grand.” It’s clear that with Mansi’s belief and a solid team backing him, he’s all set to make this a hit. And with debut director Santosh Singh at the helm, he’s in for one creatively fulfilling ride.
Shanaya Kapoor’s Bold New Step
Debutante Shanaya also spilled some feels about this major moment, and she’s nothing short of thrilled to share the screen with Vikrant in what she calls “a heartfelt and original story.” According to her, her character’s all kinds of complex – strong, emotional, and super vibrant. She’s diving in headfirst, and judging by the sparkle in her statement, she’s pouring her heart and soul into this role. With some guidance from Santosh and backing from her producers, Mansi and Varun Bagla, Shanaya is ready to claim her spot on the big screen.
Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan’ is slated for a 2025 release. The countdown has officially begun.
