Ramadan 2023: UAE announces 24-hour Ramadan shopping

It’s that time of the year! Ramadan festivities are in full swing and malls in Dubai have announced extended working hours. Earlier, it was announced that shops in Dubai Mall will be open from 10 AM-Midnight Monday-Thursday and 10 AM-1 AM from Friday-Sunday. Restaurants and cafes will be open daily from 10 AM-2 AM. The Mall of Emirates, shops will remain open from 10 AM- 1 AM daily.

Following this, authorities have announced that all businesses and commercial establishments in Ras Al Khaimah will now be able to operate 24 hours for the holy month of Ramadan. Read on to know more.

An advisory issued by the Ras Al Khaimah’s Department of Economic Development said that permits are no longer required for shops’ and businesses’ extended operations this Ramadan. The initiative is part of the authority’s efforts to make the emirate a top business destination.

Restaurants, bakeries and cafeterias in Sharjah are allowed to extend working hours beyond midnight. However, other businesses are required to obtain special permits to be able to do so.

Other malls, such as Dubai Festival Mall, will have stores open from 10 AM to Midnight. Shopaholics can shop in Ibn Battuta Mall from 10 AM to 10 PM on Sunday through Thursday and from 10 AM to Midnight on Friday through Saturday. Shops will be open daily from 10 AM to 1 AM in City Centre Mirdif and City Centre Deira.

Store hours at BurJuman Centre and Dubai Marina Mall are 10 AM to 10 PM on Sunday through Thursday and 10 AM to 11 PM on Friday through Saturday. Take note of these times, and if anything changes, we’ll post the new times here.
