‘What is Project K, we all have had this question on our mind for quite some time now. Now, the wait is finally over as the grand launch took place at Comic-Con San Diego 2023. Prabhas along with co-star Kamal Hasaan and director Nag Ashwin was present and unveiled Project K. It was finally revealed that Project K is the plot of the film and the movie is actually named Kalki 2898 AD. Now, finally, our questions are answered and all speculations are put to rest as the first glimpse is out.’
Here’s all about the Kalki 2898 aka Project K AD first glimpse
The one-minute fifteens second long trailer gave me the most satisfying glimpse. It was earlier reported that the movie is based in a dystopian world and will be a mixture of sci-fi and mythology. Looks like it’s true. In the first glimpse of Project K, it is announced that the movie is named Kalki 2898 AD. On the other hand, it shows a world where darkness has taken over and the common people are suffering and suppressed. That’s when Prabhas is that hero who is there to protect his people.
We also get a glimpse of Deepika Padukone’s character, what is her purpose is still a mystery. Even Amitabh Bachchan who is rumoured to be having the characteristics of Aswatthama is spotted in the first glimpse covered in mummy-like rags but, he looks powerful. I didn’t manage to spot Kamal Hasaan who is playing the antagonist in the film. Even Disha Patani who is reported to have a special appearance didn’t make an appearance.
The first glimpse was announced at San Diego Comic-Con making the film the first to debut at the event. Though Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan play pivotal parts in the film, they were not able to be present at the event.
Kalki 2898 AD is said to be made on a massive budget of 600 crores and the first glimpse put my yearning heart to rest. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie will hit theatres on 1 January 2024.
