Work After Eid Al Adha Will Resume On July 3
As per the Gregorian calendar, the holiday will begin on either June 27th or June 28th, depending on the moon sighting. And if the holiday commences on Tuesday, June 27th, residents will enjoy a long six-day break, including Saturday-Sunday weekend. And if it begins on Wednesday, June 28th, you are still in for a five-day weekend.
So if Arafat Day falls on June 27th, Eid will be on June 28th; however, the moon-sighting committee will verify the actual date closer to the time. Eid Al Adha, also known as Bakra Eid, is celebrated globally on the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah and is considered the holiest month of the Islamic calendar.
