Hessa Street: A Roadway Transformation

The expansion of Hessa Street, a key artery, stretching 4.5km from its junction with Sheikh Zayed Road to Al Khail Road, is a highlight of Dubai road project agenda. This expansion aims to bolster its capacity to a remarkable 16,000 vehicles per hour, promising smoother traffic flow and shorter commutes for all.

Umm Suqeim Street Upgrade: Driving Efficiency

Umm Suqeim Street, extending 4.6km from its intersection with Al Khail Road to Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, is also set to undergo a significant upgrade. This expansion will accommodate up to 16,000 vehicles per hour, bringing much-needed efficiency to this vital corridor.

Al Khaleej Street Makeover: Enhancing Connectivity

The Al Khaleej Street project is another critical milestone, spanning 3km from the Infinity Bridge ramp to Cairo Street. This undertaking involves the construction of three underpasses, covering 1.65km, with an estimated capacity of about 12,000 vehicles per hour. It promises improved connectivity and accessibility for all road users.

Dubai Road Network Growth: A Remarkable Journey

Under the visionary leadership of Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai’s road network has experienced remarkable growth. The total length of road network surged from 8,715 lane-km in 2006 to an impressive 18,768 in 2022, marking a phenomenal 115% growth. These expansions showcase Dubai’s commitment to providing world-class infrastructure.

Dubai road network and safety standards have earned international recognition, placing the city among the best global cities in terms of traffic safety. It stands shoulder to shoulder with urban centers in Sweden, Norway, and Japan.
