Dubai Just Made Getting a Nol Card Easier — Here’s Where You Can Buy One

Residents and visitors can now buy nol Travel Cards at selected Al Ansari Exchange branches across Dubai, adding more convenient purchase points for public transport and everyday payments.

Dubai residents and visitors can now purchase nol Travel Cards at selected Al Ansari Exchange branches across Dubai. The partnership was announced on August 24, 2026, by Al Ansari Exchange in collaboration with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and RTA-authorised distributor MDX Technology Solutions ME.

The move gives commuters and tourists another way to get a nol Travel Card, particularly at familiar locations such as malls, metro-linked branches and popular visitor destinations. The card can be used across Dubai’s public transport network and at more than 14,000 retail outlets across the UAE.

  • Location: Selected Al Ansari Exchange branches across Dubai
  • Organisations: RTA, Al Ansari Exchange and MDX Technology Solutions ME
  • Status: Available from selected branches
  • Who is affected: Dubai residents, commuters and visitors aged 18 and above
  • Business impact: Adds another physical sales channel for nol Travel Cards
  • What’s next: Customers can purchase the card at participating branches and use RTA channels for post-sale support

Getting a nol Travel Card in Dubai is now a little easier. Selected Al Ansari Exchange branches across Dubai are selling nol Travel Cards, giving residents and visitors another option besides traditional RTA sales points.

Al Ansari Exchange confirmed the partnership on August 24, 2026, in collaboration with RTA and MDX Technology Solutions ME, the RTA-authorised distributor of nol Travel Cards.

The card works across the Dubai Metro, Tram, public buses, marine transport and public parking. It can also be used at more than 14,000 retail outlets across the UAE, making it useful beyond daily commuting.

Where can you buy a nol Travel Card in Dubai?

The new sales channel covers selected Al Ansari Exchange branches, rather than every branch in the company’s network.

Participating locations include branches at or around several popular Dubai destinations. These include Al Ghurair Centre, Mall of the Emirates, City Walk, City Centre Deira, Deira City Centre Metro Station, Dubai Festival City, Dubai Hills Mall, Dubai Marina Mall and Dubai Outlet Mall.

Other listed locations include Palm Jumeirah Mall, Circle Mall in JVC, Souk Madinat Jumeirah, The Beach at JBR and several Dubai Mall locations.

This gives shoppers and visitors more opportunities to pick up a card while they are already visiting malls, tourist areas or transport-linked locations.

What can the Dubai nol Travel Card be used for?

The nol Travel Card is designed for cashless payments across Dubai’s public transport system.

According to the information provided by Al Ansari Exchange and RTA, users can use it on:

  • Dubai Metro
  • Dubai Tram
  • Public buses
  • Marine transport
  • Public parking

The card’s use also extends beyond transport. RTA has previously confirmed that nol cards are accepted at more than 14,000 retail outlets across the UAE.

These include major retailers and convenience outlets such as Carrefour, Lulu and Zoom.

That wider acceptance makes the card relevant for people who use public transport regularly as well as those who want a payment option for selected everyday purchases.

What benefits come with the nol Travel Card?

The current card offered through Al Ansari Exchange comes as a customised Silver nol Card with AED 19 in preloaded travel credit.

It can be reloaded up to AED 5,000 and remains valid for five years from activation.

There is also a lifestyle element. Through the nol Pay app, cardholders can access 200+ offers from more than 100 participating merchants.

These offers can include discounts and buy-one-get-one promotions across categories such as dining, retail and entertainment.

Al Ansari Exchange says the card is available to customers aged 18 and above.

Is this a new nol card?

No. The latest development is primarily about where customers can buy the nol Travel Card.

RTA introduced the nol Travel Card in June 2024 in partnership with MDX Solutions Middle East. The product was positioned as a transport and lifestyle card for residents, tourists and visitors.

At launch, the package combined a regular nol card for travel across Dubai’s public transport network with promotional lifestyle offers.

The expansion through selected Al Ansari Exchange branches therefore adds to the card’s distribution network rather than introducing an entirely new type of nol card.

For Dubai residents, the biggest advantage is convenience. Customers can now buy the card at selected Al Ansari Exchange branches located in places they already visit for shopping, financial services or other errands.

Tourists can also benefit from the additional access points. Locations around Downtown Dubai, Deira, JBR and Palm Jumeirah are particularly relevant to visitors who may need a nol card during their stay.

Al Ansari Exchange operates more than 280 branches across the UAE, giving the partnership access to an established physical network.

For RTA, the additional sales channel supports wider access to nol services and the authority’s broader push towards convenient digital and cashless payments.
